What neck or back damage can exercise equipment cause?

If you are a Kentucky resident who owns workout equipment, you may be aware of the fact that you can actually harm yourself by using these products. Sometimes, if a product is not properly manufactured, you may get hurt even if you are following instructions and using the machinery or product as intended.

There are many different types of injury that can occur to the back or neck area when using workout equipment, especially because there are so many muscles located here and the muscle groups are all very large and interconnected. Spinal damage is also a potential problem to consider, which can lead to a loss of movement in certain limbs, or lifelong pain. Common injuries can include:

  •          Disc protrusions
  •          Bulging discs
  •          Torn ligaments or tendons
  •          Torn muscles
  •          Disc hernias

Additionally, any pre-existing issues that you have may be exacerbated by back or neck injury. For example, if you have osteoporosis or arthritis, you could face worsened bone damage. If you have a previous injury to the muscles of the neck or back, you may end up aggravating the old wound and worsening potential scar tissue.

In some severe cases, you may even face nerve damage. Potential muscular damage in certain areas could also cause issues with bowel or bladder control, which can be both painful and embarrassing to you.
