Sam Collins

Sam Collins is an experienced trial attorney with more than 28 years of legal experience representing injured individuals and families across Eastern Kentucky.

As a Perry County native who has spent his career practicing in Eastern Kentucky, Sam is able to combine local knowledge, determination in the courtroom, and a deep understanding of the industry into his practice of personal injury law in Hazard.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law, Sam was admitted to practice law in 1998. He returned home immediately after law school to serve the individuals and businesses of Perry County and the surrounding communities.

Before devoting his practice to helping injured individuals, Sam spent many years working as an insurance defense attorney. This background gives him a valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and attempt to minimize personal injury claims because he has seen their strategies from the inside.

Today, Sam puts that experience to work for injured clients, anticipating insurance company tactics and advocating aggressively for the maximum recovery available under the law.

His litigation practice spans a wide range of personal injury matters across Eastern Kentucky, including:
